6 weeks old!
At 6 weeks old Helayna is:
• starting to sleep much longer at night - going 5-6 hours between her last feed before bed and her first night feed (which means mommy is getting 4 hour stretches of sleep!!! YAY!)
• very alert and aware - she spends hours staring at lights and faces - she especially loves to look at her mommy and daddy.
• colicky! FUN!!! Yah, right. She spends hours fussing and crying every evening, which can be very stressful.
• starting to develop her voice - making noises and grunts that are so adorable.
• likes to lay on the floor in the bathroom while mommy takes a shower, just listening to the sound of the water running.
• sleeping in her playpen every night.
• spoiled rotten by her grandparents!
• still loves to be held.
• growing like crazy - just look at those cheeks!
• nicknamed pumpkin, monkey, munchkin and turkey!
• a spitting image of her dad at this age.
• pretty in pink!

Look at her grow. Keep taking lots of pictures to show us all her changes. I'm so glad to hear she's sleeping through the nights, and in her playpen. Yah!! And, you're getting some sleep. :) We'll be home in 7 days to spoil this little munchkin some more.
Heather....your posts give me so much hope. It's nice to know that the feeding stretches are getting longer. That's why I come and see your blog when I can. They are inspirational. And your baby is a cutie pie to look at.

What a beautiful, beautiful doll!! I'm sorry to hear about the colic! My kids never had this, so I'm afraid I have no advice for you, sorry! Just know that she'll grow out of it and that one day it'll be a distant memory. (Yeah, right!)
She is getting so big, already, Heather! And just as adorable - or even more so!
