Soul Food

Time out in the moutains just absolutely feeds my soul. I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after spending time in the mountains, breathing in fresh air, getting some exercise, enjoying the incredible views. This photo is going to be used on my Day 11 art journal entry. I'm going to do an entry on how the much I love the mountains and how important those times away in nature are for me.

On Saturday we cross country skiied near Lake Louise and then spent the night at a wilderness hostel with friends. Then on Sunday we went snowshoeing to this lake, where both of these photos were taken. The snow was SO deep. It was absolutely breathtaking!

Awesome pictures. The mountains are spectacular, and the snow looks so fresh and light. I miss it!!! I agree with you about nature and how refreshing it is. We went camping this weekend, and it lifted my spirits and satisfied my soul. We even went swimming in the ocean. God's creation is beautiful and awesome. Hoping to share more of his beauty with you soon.
Love you.

My hubby & I spent a couple memorable days in Lake Louise in August. Went up to Moraine Lake for the first time (who knew that water could be bright turquoise!). The road was so bumpy and our exhaust pipe so low, that it fell off. Up at the Moraine Lake parking lot, we asked everyone if they had any coat hangers, and when we finally got one, DH was able to rig the pipe back in place. Oh, and we stayed at the bear-proof campground nearby. During the night I kept picturing bears circling the camp, testing the electric fence every few minutes. Good times :)

Glad you had a good weekend
